Snap on vs matco ratchet. The only snap on ratchet i have is an fcy72 which has a hole all the way through the head and is only about 4 1 2 oal so you wouldn t ever really crank on it. But check out air cat air tools. You can get huge ones for cheap and many handtools are good. I think there s more to a ratchet than brute force though. Last i heard matco had a much better deal on tool boxes than snap on.

Where you need to pay attention are things like ratchets and torque wrenches. I would think that your money will go farther on the matco truck. And for air tools go with something like ingersoll rand. I have this set in the mac version.

But if you aren t terribly concerned with budget you can get the blue point branded version on the snap on truck for 58 or from matco for 53. For what it s worth if you qualify for the sep program you also qualify for matco s discount program which is also about 50.
